SR Case Study 10
Henry
Henry was a resident in a Nursing home, after a stroke. He was unable to care for himself in any way. He could not speak or feed himself. On occasion he could smile or lift his thumb as a form of communication, but this was rare.
When visiting my Mother I use to sit in the chair next to Hany and in this way he was aware of me, on a regular bases.
One afternoon in the home a thought came into my mind: ‘I have had enough but I am terrified to die.’ I knew this was Henry. I thought back: ‘There is no need to fear death, your brother Alfred is here to help you’. I felt the presence of his brother and just knew whom he was, and why he was there.
I said: ‘He has come to help you and show you “the way”. When you close your eyes you will see him standing in the light.’ Into my mind came: ‘Thank you, I will go with peace.’
Henry died in his bed that night. I am convinced that my Spirit-Higher self was ‘talking’ to both, Henry’s Spirit and the Spirit of Alfred, the brother.
