SR Case Study 14

Margaret and John

I had a referral from a local psychiatric hospital. Margaret was a seventeen years old girl who, from an early age, had conversations (she said), with a boy who was in her head, and sometime in her chest.

He told her that he had no name but he could be called John. The psychiatrist, who was a committed catholic, said that she did not feel that Margaret was schizophrenic and that she could not fit her into any mental health classification. I had received clients from this psychiatrist before.

The referral was for counselling and psychotherapy, as she was not allowed by her bishop to refer for spirit release, possession or attachment.

She had consulted the Bishop after a previous case that had been a common client of hers and mine.

When Margaret came to see me, I asked her if she was happy to receive Hypnotherapy from myself. She said: Yes.
I asked:

-How long have you been having conversations with the boy in your head?
-For as long as I can remember.
-Is the boy friendly?
-He was friendly until recently when I got together with my boyfriend. He then began to cause me headaches, shouting at me, saying that he was enough for me.

I then helped Margaret to get into a relaxed altered state of mind. I asked permission to speak to he who had no name but could be called John. There was an affirmative answer. Then I asked:

-Who are you?
-I am John, Margaret’s twin brother.
-When did you join Margaret?
-When she was born. We were meant to be born together but this did not happen. John was born dead (still born). That is why I do not have a name. That is what I would have been called, had I lived.
-What happened then?
-Margaret and I have lived as one since then.
-How is it that you now shout at Margaret and cause her such ‘pain’
-She has someone else. It makes me feel that there is now a space between us.
-Do you want Margaret to be happy?
-Yes,Ido.
Margaret wants you to be happy as well, but she also needs the freedom to live her own life. You can still help her to be happy and look after her from the world of spirit. At the same time she can live her own life. You can now go back to the world of spirit and join the light. You can support your sister from there and let her make new friends. I am sure you don’t want to hurt her and make her unhappy. Do you?
-No I don’t, but I have been with her all the time.
-You will be with her again and you can still help her. I will call on someone to come and help you to leave.

I then asked from an appropriate helper from the ‘Light’ to come and said:

-John what do you see?
-A bright white light with gold all around.
-Whoisthere?
-He is my guide and teacher from the light.
-Go with him with the blessing of your sister knowing that you and Margaret will still be connected and supporting each other in spirit.
The reply was:
-I will go now.

He then left. I asked that light filled the space that had been occupied by John and that appropriate healing be sent to Margaret.

When Margaret returned to a normal state of consciousness, she stated that she now felt free and ready to move on with her life.
